Research Interests

While my main research has been focused on extensions of the Image source method (ISM) to enable more accurate and efficient simulation of room acoustics. I am also interested in the problems in the following domains:

  • Room acoustics modeling, Acoustics
  • Finite element methods
  • Spatial audio
  • Physics-informed neural networks
  • Psychoacoustics
  • Spatial intelligence

Research Projects

  • Room acoustic simulation: extending the image source method to arbitrary directional source and receiver devices due to transducer properties and wave diffraction. Arbitrary room geometries are also supported by the framework (DEISM).
  • Room impulse response completion: generating realistic late reverberation from simulated early reflections with diffusion models.
  • Room impulse response classification: probing the gap between simulated and measured room impulse responses.
