Thanks for your interest in participating in this listening experiment. The overall experiment will roughly take 25 - 35 minutes.

Instructions:
  • This experiment consists of 20 test units. In each test unit, a short audio clip ("Original") followed by five time-stretched versions of this audio clip ("Item 1" to "Item 5") are presented. The five items were computed using different time-scale modification algorithms. Please first listen to the "Original" and then to all time-stretched items. Then give a rating of the overall quality of the time-scale modification result for each of the items on a five-point scale ranging from bad to excellent.
  • An excellent item should sound as if the original audio clip was performed on a different time-scale.
  • Initially, each item will be marked as "not rated". Please take your time to give every item a rating.
  • Please use high quality studio headphones and a good soundcard.
  • Make sure that you can perform the test in a quiet environment.
  • In each test unit, first listen through all items before you do any ratings to get used to the material.
  • Try to rate the overall impression of a test item and do not concentrate on single aspects.

Thank you very much!
